I've seen a lot of posts here and there about being afraid or unsure about the best way to approach artists when attempting to get a commission. Especially when it comes to NSFW commissions where you need to indulge the kinky details! I figured I'd write up a lil' post here about how to approach me about getting a commission if you're on the fence about doing so!

1. Engaging with you as a client

When talking to clients for the first time, I keep things strictly professional. Part of what this means as, if you're worried about what I might think about your idea, try me anyway, I'm not here to judge.

As a general rule of thumb, I will not draw any of the following

• Cub/Loli, Underage Characters
• Scat
• Rape, non-con scenarios, abuse

If it's not in that list, don't be afraid to ask. I have been around the internet for a long time, I have seen it all. My personal kinks involve ABDL, Petplay, Fatfurs, and light bondage. The reason I mention this is because I understand certain kinks involve very specific attention to certain details which someone who isn't into them may not understand.

In a case like this, you are absolutely welcome to try and explain it to me, again, I do not judge. That said, please understand that I am happily taken and I don't RP! I am simply here to draw for you!

One last thing to keep in mind, if you're commissioning me to draw a gift piece for someone else, I will ask for some type of proof that the person it is for is into whatever kink piece you're getting for them. This may sometimes ruin the surprise of a gift, but even an example of their character in a similarly themed piece will suffice! I wouldn't want to have a hand in embarrassing someone who wasn't ready to reveal their interests, nor would I want to take part in an attempt to slander someone else.

2. The process of creating the piece

Whenever I start a new piece, I will always start with a sketch. Although some clients prefer to pay first, I do not explicitly ask for payment until that sketch is done and approved. I typically will draft an invoice as soon as approval has been gotten, but I do not request it be paid immediately so don't feel as though you're pressured to get it done asap!

After payment is handled, you are allowed to ask me for updates any time within a reasonable time frame. Meaning, if you ask every 10 minutes, you may not see much progress! I typically will not show you previews unless you ask, the way I render art is very haphazardly done to say the least. Line less pieces often look like buggy computer graphics before they are done for example, I don't want to worry anyone waiting for their work!

I'm very open to what people would describe as "nitpicking", to a reasonable degree. I am totally open to change little details, adjust things, correct mistakes, please don't be afraid to ask! The sketch you approve is meant to act as a general expectation towards the final piece, the only case I'd say no or request additional payment is a major deviation from the original plan when extensive work has already been done.

3. General conduct

I am a very easy going person, and I love talking to people, you're welcome to be as sociable as you want and I completely understand if our relationship is strictly business.

I only have a few rules, nothing out of the norm!

1. Be polite
2. Be respectful
3. Do not harass me, or fellow clients

Easy-peasy! The only other thing I request is that when you're describing what you want to me, to be as precise and detailed as possible. This is a mutual benefit, it ensures I deliver to you what you want, that is my goal!
