The Demon Descendent

As part of a bit of role-playing, I sort of tasked myself to come up with the design for a humanoid demon descendent. The goal was something more or less human in form, though distinctly non-human in the details. I’ve also been really lapse lately on trying to keep functional with ZBrush, so I decided to put the two together. (As a note, this is based on a stock human figure resculpted; I didn’t fully sculpt the entire character.)

This was as much a re-learning of ZBrush as anything; I’d forgotten so much of what I learned last time I tried to play with it. I pushed myself into something new as well: painting the final figure in ZBrush. Though there was some cursing at the program when I first started playing with it, I’ve again come to realize just how powerful and easy to use it is. I learned a lot modifying this stock figure and think I should make sure to periodically find time to sculpt things in this, just to get better and better with it. I’m still entirely a newbie at this, but it’s amazing how quickly things can come together sometimes.

Next for this fellow… I understand ZBrush has some form of rigging capability. I think I may try to do at least minimal rigging of him.
