The cheetah has been my favorite animal since I was very young, which is why I chose this species to represent me as my fursona. Their plight is very near and dear to me, and with fewer than 7,000 cheetahs still alive in the wild, your help is needed now more than ever. The Cheetah Conservation Fund is an amazing organization that needs support not only on International Cheetah Day, but all year round.

Not without some thick glass in between, sadly! I've seen cheetahs at the Bronx Zoo when I was younger, and most recently at the Pittsburgh Zoo this past Anthrocon. I learned that the Pittsburgh Zoo does offer up-close encounters with their cheetahs, but unfortunately they're not within the days of our typical Anthrocon stay. I'll have to see if it's within our budget next year to extend our visit by a day so we can get up close and personal with the cheetahs.
