Xuzus Surfs My Laptop When I Turn the Power Off

Abbi Normal

This design (markers, then scanned and removed from the paper background) was based loosely on an old one from ages ago, Xuzus. It's not exactly the same design, obviously. I didn't have the old one in front of me when I drew it or anything, and I wanted to re-design it somewhat anyways. It's an improvement, I think. I might turn him into a fully fledged character, and maybe even flesh out his story. This is it, from the original page:

Xuzus lives in a mirror. The mirror lives in the back of a dusty, suspicious old store in the far west end of the city. Or it's supposed to be a store, but the lights have never been on, the door has never been unlocked, and everything inside is faded from the sunlight and covered in a layer of greasy dust. It hasn't had anyone in it since some old men moved all those things inside, hung a sign that alleged they sold antiques, and disappeared. The only sign of habitation is a sign in the window, yellow as a sigh, that says, "Smile! You're on camera!"

Xuzus is good at smiling. Smiling is all Xuszus every does. Smiles, and plays games, and vibrates between worlds, and looks out of the mirror sometimes at this one, at the antique shop that almost certainly isn't. If anyone ever looked back, he'd rather like to play with them.
