Thako the Gygling, and my personal Bag of Holding

Abbi Normal

Gyglings are inter-dimensional creatures native to the interconnected folded universe frequently referred to as Hammerspace. They're basically the little imps who inhabit this dimension and hand you whatever would be pertinent to the joke, so they have a great sense of humour. They're also expert metal-crafters: that's where they get all those hammers and anvils. While they can travel at will through any instance of Hammerspace in the universe, they'll frequently find a nice little patch of the subspace and make their own little nest. This little guy's name is Thako, and he's made his home in my own personal Bag Of Holding. I managed to make contact with the denizens of Hammerspace (long story), and Thako and I have been fast friends since.

This is my personal daily-use backpack these days. Has been for a while, but this is the third version of the head I made, and only now am I happy with it. Bigger eyes? Maybe. Probably not. I made the backpack from scratch, with camo fabric, and fabric printed like old newspaper. I used that one to fix my hoodie sleeve cuffs, so it matches them. I also made the patches on it, with felt and silk screening and so on. A Discordian symbol (the hand of Eris), a bisexual triangle, a Leo astrological sign, some playing card suits, a black widow, and a paw print. Also the "TALK NERDY TO ME" patch. The interior is lined with black fleece (and, of course Is Infinite serious nod). The top closes with a drawstring and the top flap closes with a leather loop that goes around a really cool button a few inches under Thako's head. Thako's head pokes out where the drawstring goes, and his fingers come out above the drawstring on each side. His tail pokes out a felt "rip" decal on the front and curls around.
