This butterfly was a commissioned piece and my second acrylic on canvas. To me, this was a big milestone making my entrance into the art world. Though painting is one of the areas I struggle the most with my joint paint, I enjoy it so much. This painting was done of a photograph I had taken a short ways from home. The butterfly's wings and been touched with interference violet and blue so that they shimmer in the sunlight in such a beautiful way as cannot be seen through photography.
