During the Xmas and Thanksgiving holidays, our business can get real slow both from customers and from us taking more time to spend with family. However, we had one last painted mask commission before the year was through. For ponyplay, this customer requested a relatively simple concept over some of our more detailed (and specific) designs/original character paintjobs.

I can describe the customer's concept as "blotchy", at least when it comes to the ears. 3 different greys were mixed, one of them a match of the light grey base coat. It was enjoyable to pop on some music, arm myself with 2-3 paintbrushes and get to work. The mottled paint scheme contrasts sharply with the firm, curved line of dark grey, which was applied by Stego from dipping. Wildgasmasks is kind of trying something out with colored valves, the blue bright against the monochromatic mask.
