I was doing the Monster Girl challenge for a while but stopped since I wasn't into it for a bit. I decided to pick it up again and I'm happy I did, it's helping me feel a lot better! Plus I don't get to draw human like characters much.
So this is a small preview, I should be able to show the final today hopefully!
(Btw, does Weasyl have a Scrap option like FA does? I don't usually post WIPS to the front page of sites.)

Is there a way to make the new stuff appear first in the folder?

Submissions in folders are displayed in order of upload, from newest to oldest (even if you move stuff in there after it gets uploaded).

You can certainly create a scraps folder if you wish!
