Having left Rhodes behind with the cart and the pack lizard, Ethan proceeded through the forest with his love, Diana. Since they were miles from any town or city, they were running low on supplies, and they needed to get some additional food. While Rhodes was a capable hunter, it was agreed that Diana, with her canine senses and mastery of the bow and arrow would be a far more effiecient huntress. Not willing to let her go alone, Ethan pulled out his hunting knife and came along.

"I can handle myself, Ethan."

"I know, but I don't want to let you out of my sight," Ethan told her.

"All right, but don't slow me down, okay?" She gave him a smile that suggested she had hoped he would ask to come along.

He eagerly led the charge as they spotted a prey animal in the distance. Ethan watched Diana as she drew her bow back and aimed at the neck of the animal...
