I've finally drawn Whitby Darkshire properly this time, as he is described in my story Uncanny Hosts. I also used a reference this time around instead of being stubborn and trying to wing it. I love animals in all their forms, but dammit I can't draw animals and animal-like monsters correctly to save my life without extensive references. Obviously his design is heavily based off of various mastiff breeds.
Don't worry, the story is going to be posted here soon! I just need to get a good enough scan of the rather large story header I made last week...

Black dogs and barghests have always been some of my favorite folkloric spooks; they can make for some really evocative characters. I'm glad you like; hopefully if I get my ducks in a row sooner rather than later the story will be up in the next week.

I'm going to gush over someone else having a barghest character and also a story with a barghest in it. Ahhhh this is amazing. I will look forward to seeing the story.
