North of Tykondrus' capital, [ Sandalio [link] ](http://www.weasyl.com/submission/20401), and across the verdant jungle of [ Sable Grove [link] ](https://www.weasyl.com/submission/193973) , lies what locals call the Indigo Fortress. Once, it was a great and mighty city built in worship of the God of Stone. It was built out of a very rare type of stone that had many brilliant colors, most of which were shades of purple.

When the religion of the Goddess Elia swept across Elancia, this ancient city was no exception. It was abandoned bit by bit over a period of around ten years, and now, hundreds of years later, it sits rotting, half sunken into the earth, its great temples and pillars now baked tan by the sun. Seismic activity is rampant in the area, and geysers and earthquakes are both commonplace.
