The Shadowkind ref is done! They popped up in a dream just over four years ago then kicked about again last September out of nowhere so I slowly started to get their design hashed out. I hope my handwriting is readable.

As long as they have enough water resource, there is no real shape or size limit to how they can appear and they do wander into town appearing human quite regularly as they find them fascinating. Downside is of course the “skin” is pure shadow, the vulnerabilities of all Shadowkind to direct sunlight is still intact. Parasols are a great invention for those wandering the 3D world. Being a living shadow if one a bit different than usual, their main sense is touch.

By nature they do not really eat in our sense either nor need to sleep but doesn’t seem to stop them accepting tribute particularly…. As far as the townfolk are concerned a mysterious creature rarely seen lives there watching over them and has a nack for predicting the weather particularly violent storms. Keep on their good side and you’ll get some warning.

Shadowkind do not have a naming system or a gender either for that matter.

Their boyfriend is standing by a more bent limb so it is not the best reflection of how tall compared, it’s just the correct height you couldn’t actually see where he came up to. It IS still accurate if you lined up up with the forelimbs though.
