Drawn in 1998. Just days after her 12th birthday, my first dog Licorice suffered a stroke and died later that night in her sleep. I loved that dog so much. I remember feeling absolutely devastated at her loss.

My little black Lab/German Shepherd mix helped me overcome a childhood fear of dogs and animals in general, and showed me just how much I was missing. She was such a sweet dog. I still miss her. :(

Gosh, I had just found an old photo of her in early in 2018, and I still get misty-eyed. I need to draw more of my pets. There was Lucy, a Norwegian Forest Cat calico that was the sweetest cat I've ever met and made me love cats. Then, more recently, Henry, another Norwegian Forest Cat who loves to snuggle.
