On another of Bast's visits to the Pridelands a couple lions wandered up to ask about Bast's recent "acquisition".

"Yeah this WAS the monkey's stick. We had a "discussion" about his teaching techniques. After that he left the stick, and quickly disappeared out in the tall grass of the savannah."

" I'm sure he's around somewhere nearby"
