Bought this baby off of mute-owl and after sitting around kind of festering in some art block, I tried my hand at drawing/tweaking him to my tastes to get back into my groove. Nothing too fancy, just some colored sketches in between errands or other things in my day. I love this guy so much, I can't wait to get more art of him. He's heavily inspired off of dinosaurs, cockatoos, and werewolves.

NOTE: He isn't an amputee, I just figured I might as well show interior muscle/it looked better than nothing there (hope a mature filter isn't needed? If it is, let me know). Scars on his body are pretty random/up to whoever is drawing him, the ones that are more specific in location or appearance are starred. Overall he's pretty open to interpretation and anything is cool as long as its the same idea!

Temperament: Rather feral and unpredictable in nature, consistency in this temperament uncertain. Voracious carnivorous appetite. Capable of extreme aggression if prompted.

About: In the rural regions of the land, there have been sightings of a great beast rumored to boast the appearance of a massive carnivorous crested bird and the strength of 100 men. The locals have dubbed this elusive creature by many names, the most common being 'Brutus' or 'Catiel'. The front forelimbs resemble that of a bear, while the hind appear more avian or reptilian, and the crested tail and body of the creature is as mobile as it is powerful. Scattered all over its body are an array of scars and old battle wounds from a life of persecution in some parts and predicaments in which larger prey fought back. Its capacity for intelligence is assumed to be vast, as the creature has evaded or escaped nearly every single trap set out to catch him, and some survivors of its prowling report that it has a capacity for speech and vast imitation of sounds; it is unknown if this includes intelligent speech, or simply repetition and imitation. Catiel has a powerful serrated beak, its interior lined with massive teeth that could compete with the size of steak knife blades, perfectly suited for his insatiable desire for anything with meat on bone and blood in veins.
