You see, I work some with a group called the OPOE, who in short protect my particular version of Earth from danger both magical and non-magical. My job specifically is to travel to our archaeological sites around the globe and taking first-touch on anything within them. Basically my job is to find any touch-activated curse... by activating it! But I mean... I come into contact with thousands of objects. Only a handful have had such a curse on them, and most are simple "10 years bad luck" or "contract an incurable disease" kind of nonsense. I mean, the chances of this ancient Welsh cauldron being magical is tiny! I mean sure, it seems to be glowing around my hands, but that's much more likely just where I've rubbed off some dirt. This thing's been underground for centuries after all! Yep. Perfectly ordinary.
