Beat the Trees Out of Your Friends~

bluedragon62

A rendition of a Super Smash Brothers match involving many characters who frequent the Crimson Flag Chatroom, with my dragon character, Kouryuu as the announcer. Seems Virmir wants to beat the trees out of all those pesky chatroom goers who make it hard to maximize his drawing productivity!

Characters, with owner’s names in parentheses, from left to right, top to bottom are the following:

Virmir (Virmir)
Featherfall (Felitaur)
Spark (Jonas)
Kenku (Kenku)
Robin (Robin Firedrake)
Chase (Chase Reynard)
Tech (Wolfertech)
Caleb (Caleb Lloyd)
Kouryuu (BlueDragon62)

Characters belong to their respective owners. This drawing was inspired by the “Smash” music video by Starbomb.

Good job! I like playing Smash, and you got the gist of it and more right here. =D

Thanks! Was looking at screenshots of the game and watching a few gameplay videos to try to get something that is, at least, similar looking!

I have a co-worker that thinks the game is a competitive 'tournament geared' game. Won't accept me showing him evidence that the creator of the game hates competitive and tournament fighting games. He did not like how every character had several pages long move list and the high skill ceiling. So he designed a fighting game that had a very low skill ceiling, that anyone can pick up and play and do well against people who have spent hours playing.
That the fight system even if you turn off items gives everyone a level playing field despite the skill level.

Similar in a way to how mario kart punishes skilled players in the name of fun because it's no fun when one person dominates. How the game gives out items to people in certain positions in the race etc.

I've never been able to figure out whether a high percentage is good or bad.

High percentage is bad -- the higher the percentage, the more damage the character has taken, and the farther they will fly when they are hit. So basically, if you're at a really high percentage, a simple punch will send you flying off the map and you'll lose a life. ;)
