Last of my special Inktober commissions, this one for dusk-autumnwing. Certainly a theme I don't do often but still ended up being great fun. Decided to go with a similar style as the previous Inktober installment "Pain Compliance," just with inverted colors! I don't think I can stress enough how much I love rendering feathers in ballpoint.
Done on 9x12 smooth bristol with felt tip pen and ballpoint, about 4 to 5 hours from sketch to finish.
Apologies for the late response, October has been hellish on my schedule and it's just now dying down enough for me to breathe properly.
Thank you kindly Ed, as always! At first I was a little apprehensive because admittedly modern military themes are certainly not my specialty, but I ended up surprising myself with how quickly and nicely it came together. Naturally an avian character made it at least ten times more fun.

What a delightful avian allure you present here. Did I ever mention how flawlessly you succeed to bewitch me whenever you draw avians?
I find this to be an exquisite work of art!
