Before the incidences of Home, Blast was scheduled to be erased, but had left the society of Booves before it happened, and before Earth. Blast originally was one of the Booves that had a temper problem, and was breaking many things, on purpose though. He didn't want the Booves to run, he wanted to fight. Deemed dangerous for his thinking, Super Boov decided to take care of him without making a mess among others, nice and quiet.

By a nice mess, Blast and Jam both managed to help each other escape their erase. Blast doesn't really treat Jam nicely, and is usually angry with her, but she doesn't care, she has the company of another Boov, they need each other to survive, it's not a Boov friendly galaxy for a loner. Blast is the one who keeps them alive with his piloting and skills at blowing everything up. He does actually like Jam, but he'll never tell her. He's light red of a sorts, because he is nearly always irritated about something, though when he sleeps he does turn a pinker color. When he gets really mad or frustrated points at Jam he turns candy apple red.
