While we already have references of ourselves, they've gotten a little outdated at this point-- we want our current clothing styles to be represented. Also, we wanted to have a reference that covered both our kid and grownup selves, as sometimes when we sent someone our kid ref, they'd start drawing us as grownups instead, and we'd have to be all "oh wait, here's our grownup ref". So we needed a new ref, and we needed one on a budget.

And that's where StupidShepherd came in. She deserves, like, a thousand thanks for the work she did, not only because she helped make this glorious reference with that budget in mind, but also because of her patience as I kept requesting change after change after change!

Also, I'm aware that Weasyl has a "Character" section that this could be put in instead, but it's completely isolated from the gallery, and I don't like that. I'll just link to this from our profile.

Anyway, here's that "more info" that was promised, including a video reference I made to help get her started:

-NAMES-
Erika Wemyss Fuzzbottom
Draygone Llewellyn Fuzzbottom, Jr. ("Dray" for short)

-STATUS-
Orphans. Father had to leave, never met mother. Currently living at an orphanage in Willowdale.

-LIKES-
Trains, video games, swimming, exploring new places, transformations of the physical variety (see furthur below), talking with friends, pepperoni pizza, skunks, taurs, and skunktaurs.

-DISLIKES-
Bullies, people being hurt, fart jokes, scat, trying to shop for clothes that actually fit, and meatloaf.

-SPECIES INFORMATION-
Dracoons. Raccoon from the mother side, dragon from the father's side. Aside from the red hair and dragon wings, no other draconic traits were inherited at first. However, upon reaching age 8, a small horn grew in the middle of each of their muzzles. (And it hurt!) No dragon breath, as father didn't have any.

-NOTABLE PHYSICAL TRAITS-
Dragon wings are heavy. As grownups, this isn't a problem, as they've had plenty of time to grow in strength. But as kids, they have a bit of an issue. Walking and flying is easy enough, but if they're not on the move, you'll often see them kneeling or sitting.

They run on all fours, regardless of age.

Erika has blue eyes while Draygone has brown eyes. Both are right-handed. They walk on their feet, not on their toes (unless they're trying to be sneaky). Feel free to add whiskers.

-PERSONALITIES-
Dray & Erika tend to sit quietly and listen to conversations, but when a thought comes to their heads, they can be quite talkative. At times, the topics they can come up with can be completely nonsensical.

Both of them are silly, although Draygone is slightly moreso, with Erika taking the "big sister" role at times and leading Dray around. They tend to tease each other a lot, but they share a bond that can't ever be broken. That said, they are also curious critters and will sometimes separate to experience different things. Especially when Dray wants to break away from Erika's proverbial "leash". =P

-TRANSFORMATIONS-
While not being natural shapeshifters, they are capable of using transformation spells that they find on the internet. (You can find anything on the internet!) Typically, their dragon wings will be left intact, as most spells don't target those. Being identical twins is important to them, so they almost always transform together.

Their favorite transformations include skunks, nidorans (a type of pokémon), platypuses, and taurs and merfolk (but still furry).

They are not capable of transforming other people.

-AGE & GENDERS-
Typically, you will see Dray and Erika as six-year-old kids. But they were born in the 80s.

Adulthood has been rough for them. So with the help of a spell custom-made for them, they age-regressed themselves, and reclaimed the lives they once had as little kids. The spell also works in reverse, allowing them to return to adulthood should they ever miss it. (Or, in the case of Draygone, making videos for Youtube.) It's also as a result of being former adults that they act a little mature for their ages.

As for Dray's gender, that's part of the transformation. As an adult, she's female and perfectly fine staying that way. As kids, gender doesn't matter as much, so she becomes a boy, and he and Erika play up gender differences for the fun of it. Dray's "100% BOY" shirt is worn for irony. Speaking of clothing...

-CLOTHING PREFERENCES-
In canon, their wardrobes are like a cartoon character's, as they always wear the same outfits, as seen in the reference. But if you would prefer to draw them in less detailed clothes, here's a few rules.

Erika enjoys pinks. You'll almost never see her in a skirt or dress. Her wardrobe is a mix of "cute" and "tomboyish". Between her and Dray, she's the only one willing to wear shoes, but only if they go with her outfit.

As a kid, Draygone almost never wears pants. He's got fur, so he doesn't have to hide anything. As a grownup, puberty and being a woman kind of makes wearing pants a requirement. Regardless of age, Dray has a preference for shirts with graphics, and tends to lean towards more boyish clothes. Not tomboyish, just regular boyish.

Sexualized clothing is an absolute no-go. Undies are fine, but please no thongs. (They feel like you're getting a perpetual wedgie.)

Nudity is fine, but again, must not be sexualized. "Cartoon nudity" is required as kids, for obvious reasons. (See [this image] as an example.)

-TL;DR-
Draygone and Erika are a silly pair of raccoon-dragon twins who live in an orphanage. They really love skunks, as well as trains, video games, and skunks. Secretly, they are grownups who used magic to become kids, with Dray even becoming a boy for the fun of it. As kids, they have difficulty standing upright because of their dragon wings, and will each grow a horn on their muzzles when they reach age 8. They are NOT digitigrade. Erika likes to wear pink, while Draygone likes to wear no pants (but has to as a grownup).
