So how'd you get into the fandom?

To be honest I got into it because of another fandom! I had always had a feeling that I was a furry but was very ashamed of it and tried to hide it. I was reading this one web comic which had a dog in it and I had been always wanting to make a quadsuit. I brought it up to my friend hesitantly and she thought it would be really cool and said that it shouldn't matter that I was a furry as long as I was happy. So that night I decided to join the fandom and planned out my first costume. A few years later I made Beetle :3 What about you?

I too was originally ashamed. It took several months before I decided to join the fandom by getting an account on FA.

It's strange how we can be so ashamed and yet it brings us so much happiness. I'm glad we both got passed that and we're here now. This fandom is one big happy family and I'm glad to be a part of it.
