Today, my cat of 13 years died. He'd been around for over half my life. I barely remember what not having him is like.
As little significance this has in the grand scheme of things, it still hit me hard. Enough that I felt I should share. I'm sure those of you who've lost a pet will understand.
Goodbye kitty. I already miss you.
First off, losing a pet you've had for 13 years is never "little significance in the grand scheme of things;" it's devastating and you have every right to feel devastated. But you know, if you ever want to talk it out (or just talk about whatever in general--it's always good to see you!) I'm always happy to listen. Until then, just know that I'm sorry for your loss.
