I have so much backlog art I haven't posted here. by VCR-WOLFE
But I'm kind of hesitant to do so?
I mean my reasoning for not posting here is, granted, kind of incredibly dumb.
I don't like how simple, even if artistic, nudity must be marked as "adult" rather than "mature".
OKAY bear with me, I ain't got no problems with pornography at all. I'll draw it if I get the hankering. But I suppose my main grievance is that by having to have nonsexual representations of nudity be grouped with pornography, it sorta perpetuates the false notion that all nudity = porn. Which is BS. And I guess sucks for me personally since I tend to draw a lot of nonsexual nudity.

Yes, stupid reason to boycott posting art on Weasyl. I'm gomen. I'm sorry.
If the policy on this ever changes for the better though I'll probs dump a ton of my backlog shit on here hahaha whOOPS.

Wait what? Then what qualifies something as "adult" content if simple nudies fall into that category as well? That doesn't make any sense to have mature and adult categories then. If they're going to do that they should just do what dA does and have normal and "mature". But they also don't allow porn, sooo... Weasyl, you weird.

I agree with you, and you've definitely described the issue better than I could have. Weasyl's rating system is kind of WTF-worthy.

A very good point! But urrrrgh, I had no idea. English isn't my native so I hadn't realized it from the guidelines (only now I ended up at the extensive information page). Coming from a country where people have kinda easygoing relationship with nudity, such a guideline feels weird.

Yeah I'm from America so I don't really get that luxury of easygoing attitudes towards nudity? It kinda rustles me but ya knowwww.

Maybe some people can poke the admins about it cause I really don't like that either :c and I'd rather not have to keep turning adult rating on just to see nudes or anything when its not porn..

Ah, I never even thought of that! You bring up a very good point here!
I think it's worth heading over to the forums and bringing it up in the site suggestions. I know that the admins/mods of this site are good at interacting with members and are always taking on board what people have to say in order to continue improving this site. I'm sure they'll understand this point if you put it across to them!-
I should except I'm really bad at the Internet and never could figure out how to use forums. ;_;
