Productivity Sparks by LeccathuFurvicael

Well, I feel like I'm finally beginning to fight back. Depression has been a right bastard these past few weeks - no work on art at all. The lack of motivation lies in wait for when I begin to lose momentum on art, for when I get tired, which happens easily. Takes weeks to get back up to speed. >< It's the same way for socializing, hell, even checking emails. I would have thought that the antidepressant I'm on would have helped with this, but maybe my pattern uses a different neural pathway, or the dose isn't high enough, or something. I'm only on it for migraine amelioration, though, coupled with the antianxiety, which I think has helped (thank goodness).

So, I thank you all for sticking by me even though I consistently fail to perform. I wish it didn't take so much mental work to maintain productivity.

I got 'Kaleidoscope' and 'Sun-Soaked Splendour' in to the art show, though, which I'm happy about. Gotta get these beasts printed out now.

Antidepressants don't all work the same, but I also don't think you have failed to perform, sometimes things really are more environmental than physiological. I was on meds to help with my Aspergers which comes with higher Anxiety and Depression, but my part was that the meds were not helping and made me feel off kilter and my issue really was my environment, being my dad constantly getting on my case for some stupid BS and etc. And now that I am working and he has laid off, I feel much better.

Sometimes our bodies just need a break, or we need to change what we do to make ourselves feel better and perform better. Finding happiness and figuring out the true cause of mental problems can go a long way to helping one find the energy they once had. If it is truly neurological, then meds or psychotherapy is the best thing, if it is environmental, then finding a way to either deal with it or change it will help more.

    :3 I hope this helps.
