But I have my opinions and preferences, and ugly as it is, much of them are "high and mighty".

Interest is simple for me. Nintendo is awesome, Undertale is great, FNAF is silly fun, Sonic is funny nostalgia, but damn, the annoyances...

I don't mind most things. I'm an early 80s baby and a 90s tard, but in all of that, I developed my tastes. I wasn't in with all the "popular kids" with an original/color Gameboy and the original Pokemon games. I had the NES, and I treated Mario 1, 2, and 3 like life or death, lol, yet for all my quote/unquote "mature" tastes I didn't get a chance to grow up with NES Castlevania, NES Metroid, Earthbound (Mother) of the SNES (let alone an SNES to begin with). I had "Nintendo heydays". I played lots of NES stuff, but most of it was 3rd party stuff. I switched over to the Sega Genesis, and for how I was always prone to be realistic, it was heavenly.

If I was much younger, I'd be right there in with every other kid, teen, and young adult who, instead of looking to AAA games as the best in gaming, looks to the Nintendo offerings, and indies like FNAF, Undertale, and many others, which isn't to say that I don't have a huge love of indies. Everything I grew up with in gaming was like an indie game. The affinity is natural, but the interest is there with me.

 

I'm easily annoyed.

 

Regardless, I'm prone to looking up ridiculous things. I'm one of those cult Space Ghost Coast to Coast fans. I liked Ren & Stimpy, watched Simpsons, grew up with a bit of Family Guy and Futurama, and so on.

It's more that the air of some things is something that I'm not fond of. I don't throw myself at FNAF, Undertale, and most things of Nintendo. You'd sooner see me praising what people generalize as "grey, brown, dark, boring" things, which is a pretty debase way of describing some of those things.

I'm tired of the childish mentality that dictates that someone must outright HATE something that they simply don't PREFER. It's like a bratty kid asking you if you love them after you tell them they can't have their way - stupid as fuck.

 

Some people who love what largely makes up my interests are usually left with no other responses to give other than that other people need to just fucking grow up, which bleeds over into the territory of saying that all the things those people love that annoy them are "for kids", "stupid", and etc.

There's a point where people don't want shit FORCED on them, while they'll still be massive deepthroat whores for something else. That's reality. To act like you can't FATHOM why people don't prefer what you love is idiotic, as opposed to defending what you love.
