Goddamnit Amazon by ACDragon

I'm a regular customer with Amazon.com, but now I'm seriously considering discontinuing further business with them. The reason: Lone Star Overnight, a courier service they use for rush deliveries. I had two packages delivered on Tuesday by that company, and they never even attempted to knock on my door, but just went right on ahead and put the packages in the leasing office... then LIED and told me that they had attempted to deliver to my door. I say they lied because I was home all day that day, and I live in a tiny studio apartment, and spend most of my time at my computer, which is maybe five feet from the front door. If the delivery driver actually knocked on my door, I'm the fucking tooth fairy.

But then I had another package I had to order on rush delivery because one of the packages I received was the wrong item. We have bed bugs in my area, and I had to order a mattress encasement. I ordered a full mattress encasement that was for mattresses that were six to eight inches thick... and I got one that was for mattresses that were twice that thickness. So I have to return it in the hopes of getting a different one, but in order to do that, I have to print up a shipping label for UPS. Well, the area I live in doesn't have a lot of options for half-sheet shipping labels, so I had to order a set of them online. And wouldn't you know that Amazon would yet again choose Lone Star Overnight to deliver it.

The package was never delivered. That means I can't return the item that Amazon fucked the order up on, because I can't print out the proper shipping label, because I don't have the labels in question, because the courier driver couldn't be bothered to be a professional and do their job properly. So now I'm hoping that I can get away with printing this stuff on regular paper and sending it that way. In the meantime, I've asked Amazon for a refund on the labels. The total price for the labels was just under twenty dollars. The shipping consisted of TWO THIRDS of that price tag, in the hopes of getting it on time. Nope. Not gonna happen.

So because Amazon seems to have their head in their ass, I don't trust them enough to purchase from them again. Good job driving your customers away, idiots.

This is why I cringe when a vendor uses SWFL instead of UPS or FedEx at my job. :/

Yeah. Cutting corners to reduce the cost of shipping so that they can have moar profit will bite them in the ass... eventually. I just hope it happens during my lifetime.
