Sudden-Onset Vertigo by r-a-blackpaws

So, today, I had a couple of episodes of vertigo.

The first was before class. I bent over to get my backpack from the floor and my body wanted to keep going over.

The second...was much more severe. I was sitting in front of the computer monitor, watching a video...and the monitor appeared to turn upward. This was followed by serious head pain and a wave of dizziness.

So, I laid down for a few hours...and each time I moved, it felt like I was falling, even though I was already laying down.

I still feel a bit uneasy on my feet and being upright now...but the headache and dizziness have passed.

I don't want to pry, but are you taking HRT medications? Those are some of the symptoms I had when my estrogen med was WAY overperscribed...

Not on medication. Did not have a blow to the head. The head pain was centered in the visual portion of the brain (back of the head).

Hmm... strange that... maybe talk to a doctor.... :/

Mmmm had that happen to me last year, was horrid you'd move your head just wrong and things would get spinny and such. Imagine trying to work where you gotta look down constantly. No fun!

    • Link

Yeah. So much not fun. Even worse when you're laying in bed and feel like you're falling.

    Possible migraine? Maybe BPPV

    • Link

Not sure. Migraines generally last two days and are light-sensitive. No idea what BPPV is. goes to look

Okay. I took a peeka. That could be a possibility.

for ME, when i get bouts of vertigo it's because my iron got too low and I need to chow down on a cow wrapped in spinach. Then I'm fine like magic!

Beefy Popeye. Got it. winks and giggles Honestly, I still have no idea what caused it, but I'm glad it passed.
