I will be at MIDWEST FURFEST! by Antiquity-Varmint

I have realized that I forgot make journal after finally got the hotel room for the MFF furry con long ago. This will be my very first time going to Midwest Furfest, and will be trying to get into Artist’s Alley for two days. Friday, and Saturday. However I still need to find a job. It’s possible that my future job might take take up time on Friday and could arrive late after the job. That means might be losing seat at the artist’s alley, sign ups start early on Friday. However, I’m not worried about it. Because I doubt anybody would be interested in seeing me at artist’s alley other than some of my local fur friends. I would do some exploring around the con to get know the con better.

However, let’s hope that upcoming job will allow me to have the whole day off on Friday and able to get the seat for the Artist’s Alley as possible. Do anybody know what I should be allowed on to have, and what not to have in the artist’s alley? Any kind of art supplies that is more common used? Those kind of knowledge would be nice in case if I got the seat.

As right now, my current job is illustration and comic arts freelancing, which I was able to get paid doing couple art projects from few clients. However, now I failed to get more than few clients to make enough living. I have been so fortune to live with two wonderful friends who always have been supportive of my illustration and comic arts freelancing. They did most of the paying for the food and bills. Trying to give me best head start in the freelancing art field. Where I would be expected to starting making money to start helping them to pay for the bills and food. However after few months, three of us have finally decided that I do need to get one full time job with steady pay instead. All of us have no regrets trying to get my art freelancing off the ground. No hard feelings, we were well aware of the fact that it can failed to take off.

I’m not disappointed that my illustration and comic arts freelancing have been taken huge hit from this. It have to be reduced and will be taken as side job, right next to future job with better pay. I’m still OPEN for any art commissions as possible.

I would still like to thank my two great friends for investing in me as a artist with their money. By using them to offer me the place to live and giving me the food. I’m so sorry to them that freelancing didn’t work out so well due to impressive lack of clients after few clients. However I’m glad they no regrets and were very glad to watch me make arts. They do truly feel like they really did helped me created something wonderful!

I have now taken up doing Ink October drawing challenge, as you can see. Posting them one traditional ink drawing each day as possible. I myself must thank my good wonderful friend JW Balsley (comic artist of the DUMM comics, and Devil’s Henchmen fame) for pushing me to take on the challenge. 31 ink drawings to grind out this month, oh yeah!

I will be at MIDWEST FURFEST!
