No, I did not fill out any forms asking to change my name or go to court to explain my reasoning or anything like that; I just sent an email to the devs of Weasyl about three weeks ago, and here I am! If you know me as feraldraco, now my name reflects that of my fursona! Unfortunately, I can't do that on my deviantArt account or my FurAffinity account, so for the time being, they'll be unchanged.
