Humans suck... by Dmitry
Just sitting here thinking and realizing that I get more support from 140 watchers on FA than I do from my entire support system in RL.
I got great grades in HS, got a college degree with awesome grades, proved that I could learn to do anything in a short amount of time and still no one believes me when I say anything and they don't believe me when I say I'm going to make something work. The only person who supports my ideas is my BF.
I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm just sharing a realization I had. It's nice to be in a place where people like and support my work without question. Instead of drawing/painting something and then being asked "did it make you money?" or "cool, now are you going to get a real job?", I just get support from you furs and I appreciate it.

Agree. It's nice to hear from people who allows themselves to be unconventional.

It's very irksome to hear people talking about "getting a job" like it's so easy. You need a previous one to get a new one, which makes things nearly impossible.
If you have something you do that you enjoy, keep on doing it. Most humans suck. Some of 'em are decent people. I'm sorry you've had to deal with the unfortunate majority.

I think in part it's that furries are still dreamers. And I don't mean that their support is crap because of that. Quite the opposite. Our real world counterparts tend to only believe what they've seen work repeatedly. If it's not status quo, they don't buy it. They're cynical, though they'd not believe they are if you told them. They might still dream, but they don't BELIEVE in those dreams.
Sad really.
