Just when I was starting to feel safe on FA again, lmao.
That being said-- I'm glad that I jumped on the ball early and made this account and it pretty much mirrors my FA account.
I'm ALSO glad that I came up with alternatives for when FA randomly goes down so that I don't lose contact with my commissioners.
HOW DID I DO THAT YOU ASK?

https://trello.com/ and https://www.google.bs/forms/about/ are both real life savers let me tell you.
I use Trello to keep track of my current queue, and I've recently started putting the references on there too, so that theirs no chance of me losing the reference OR the information blurb that the commissioner gives me explaining what they want.
I use google doc's as a sign up sheet of sorts-- so that I can keep track of the commissioners email in case I need to use said email to give them their work if FA goes down or some other mishap.
Also-- If you're not a commissioner but you're just a watcher-- I think people need to start passing around these links again...

Since I'm also starting to get back into the swing of things too-- and am mostly not relying on FA (besides for the fanbase that guarantee's commissions), I should personally try to be more diligent with getting more watchers and steady commissioners on here. :V
I should probably try with tumblr again, despite he DESPISING art tumblrs as a whole and it never clicking with me....But one step at a time, yes?
That being said-- I'm probably gonna start handing out some weasyl-only freebies (to get some practice of course, while garnering up interest), and crossposting commission updates on here more often too.
I figure at the very least I can stir up some interest here. :V
As for FA-- I can't even legitimately be upset with it anymore, it's become an even bigger joke than I am (which really says something, tbh). And irl I've also downsized the cost of my existence as much as I can, so that I can stretch my money as far as it'll go. Besides wanting a new computer (just because I fear this one is going to try to end itself on me soon), and a vacuum cleaner (to maintain pet hair/dander), i genuinely can't think of too many expensive things that I'd really want for a good long while so...¯_(ツ)_/¯

I like tumblr for seeing funny posts and reblogging but i absolutely HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE it for art. It...just wasn't made for it and it frustrates me more than anything that people sometimes ONLY post on tumblr. x___x
I have a twitter-- but I've been trying not too check it too often since it tends to give me anxiety in the long run if I do it too much. xDOH! Yeah I fav'd that journal earlier! C:

I feel the same way, Furaffinity is just on that edge of desolation. And so's Deviantart too.
Both scary places for artists.

At least I can see deviantart ATTEMPTING change problem issues and they have hardware/firmware updates a lot, plus they ARE a pretty huge community. I also don't see people quitting left and right over at DA (probably cause DA actually has the means to sue them if they talk out against them?).
But yeah-- DA has it's problems, of that i'm sure-- but it's NO WHERE as much of a trainwreck as FA....Like.....FA is a special kind of stupid almost. You really have to MAKE AN EFFORT to get this many things wrong. xD
Artists need to feel safe tho qmq

Oh lawdy, it's amazing what they come up with <.< either way, glad you are here and would love to see more activity, so huzzah for that!
I am also in that weird tumblr thing, as well as twitter. As much as I try, I just can't get excited about either, haha.
