What is most likely to happen by Grypwolf
Hello people!
So, In the lights of DA:'s new changes I may change to be more active here, not sure how or when but I just can't do it anymore whit DA:s most stupid changes like kicking off staff and making prices ridiculous.
Anyhow. Sorry for inactivity here. many things have happened after I joined, SCHOOL things mostly but i ended up also catching nice lil burnout to myself too.
Now I am on trying my best to recover from it U_U

What's going on on DA? Is there something about it I can read? I just got active over there but I get a little click happy and often close things they post without reading them. XD Treat yourself well and feel better soon!

Ah oh you. just anotherday they took still that default 29$ to have one year premium membership but just in one night the price almost doubled suddenly(50$), and they did not do any announcement about it what so ever. They changed their copyright policy too. Not that I am too strike on how my work is referenced but I don't like when commissions I have made, are traced for making easy money, like some people have done.

Uuuugh that means I have to read their new copyright policy oh my glob. :/ Yeah, making money off stolen art is just... Never OK.

The update on dA is so dumb. They're going to lose business.

Ironically so when their purpose is clearly to raise business, since they ahve been kicking staff off and now this.

I'm doing the same thing. I've had an account on here for so long but am only now using it. I'm holding out on dA though, mostly because I have too many friends there to leave, and considering I'm new here, I need my following on dA for the time being so I don't go broke ;v;

well same. I get most of my commissions through DA so it is kinda sad that they amke me wanna leave. That is also sad because I just found this new and inytresting ARPG thing to have as a hobby

I read a Journal by Innali about this whole thing that made me hate this "Core" thing a little less. To me it kinda makes sense about the whole situation. There's a whole lot of stuff planned for dA that to me, doesn't seem that bad.

Oh well sure, I know that they are on bad situation, and MANY great things would not be there if there was no DA. I agree on that, but I really am upset that even if it is clearly to be seen that DA has problems, they do not inform us customers about that, not at all. Like I think that the horrible star look would have been avoided if they for example would have had nice little design contest on it. let the community help!
anyhow. Mostly I am astounded that they never informed members about all the staff they have kicked off because of their money problems.

Nah but still.I can't leave DA for good, Not doing that. I have been there almost 10 years anyway.

Yeah, I agree. I hope that with this latest incident, they learn that maybe warning people in advance would be a good idea, and talking about their money issues might seem unfavorable in their eyes, but it would let the community know why prices are going up, and why things are as slow as they are. And with regards to the star thing, I agree! They even could have used that same star, just in a different color scheme, and it would have looked really good actually.
Yeah, despite all the changes, dA holds a bit of sentimental value to me, so that is another thing keeping me there. And honestly, I think this change will probably be old news in a while. People just need some time to cool down is all. I am glad that I was able to find you on here though, this site's got some cool features.

I also was unpleasantly surprised what dA did :/ I wanted to buy Premium Membership to change my nickname and see all the premium features but now I don't think it's worth it. Fortunately there are other art sites (like Weasyl) but to me it's also hard to give up dA because I got used to it and I have there way more friends and watchers ._. But it seems dA is getting worse and worse.

Same here. Same here. DA is kind like my commission center and I feel kinda bitter that I am not mostlikely going to support this kind of change anymore because well. when the prices once go up they won't come down I am so sure of it.

Yea DA has really gone downhill big time the last couple years. I don't regret cutting down my activity on there.

Dang, for real? I was wondering what that core thing meant on DA. Honestly, DA is not the same as it used to be, I'm still debating on not posting art there anymore and moving here and be more active on FA and W but that's just me X3 And hope you get well soon

Wow that's too bad that they decided to do that. I respected DA a lot in the previous years when they didnt do stupid thing like this. Well we will see what they do in the near future, lets hope they dont keep raising prices and maybe find better staff for the job. How long have you been with Weasyl? Do you like it more or less? And how's life for you Gryph?
