Arrived just after 5 PM Friday. Dipper drove to his wife's restaurant and we wandered around a Japanese store until our our reservation at 6. Had some gyoza, pork ribs, chicken teriyaki and spicy scallops for an appetizer. Then had some Yaki Udon for dinner before heading to his house, where I finally met his dog Harvey. We then headed to the motel. Had a little trouble with the AC not starting but after that got fixed, we chatted a bit before he headed to his house. I turned in for the night at the hotel after that though I did end up crying a bit because I had to be alone that night, but I managed to calm myself down enough to sleep.

Left the hotel 10:30 AM Saturday, after munching on a Honey Bun for breakfast. Dipper then took me to Zoombezi Bay, a water park tied in with the Columbus Zoo. We went through a couple of the Lazy Rivers and the Wave Pool. Stopped at 1 PM for lunch and had a Smokehouse burger for lunch. We went to the Wave Pool a second time before heading to the zoo. We only stopped to see one animal: the original... err the okapi. (Inside joke between Dipper, his daughter and I.) After that, we went back to Dipper's to pick up his daughter and Harvey before heading to the dog park. Spent about an hour there before we went to a restaurant called Bravo where we had fried calamari, meatballs, and fried ravioli for an appetizer, then I had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Dipper and I headed back to the hotel for the night then.

Bit of a late of a start on Sunday. Didn't leave until about 11AM. Headed to Dipper's where we had a lunch of some ribs. After that, we headed to the Columbus Center of Science and Industry which was actually quite fun. Headed back to the hotel for a small nap, then back to Dipper's, where we ordered pizza. After that, we went to see Inside Out. Back to Dipper's once more before heading to the hotel for the night.

Woke up Monday morning, and when the realization the trip was almost over had hit me, I lost it and started bawling. Being honest, one thing I was not looking forward to was the knowledge that the trip was going to end on a bad note (namely the eight hour bus ride home). I felt bad doing it, but I asked Dipper if he would be willing to drive me home if I agreed to pay for the gas. He IMMEDIATELY said yes, which put my mind at ease again. After making sure I was okay, we packed my stuff and left the hotel. Dipper had a dentist appointment but after that we went to lunch at a buffet. After lunch, we picked up his daughter and went to see Inside Out again because we both agreed it was a movie she needed to see. After that, Dipper drove me home. The trip was overall a positive one, and it was nice to be able to get away from my problems, if only for a weekend.
