I'm a ferret on Weasyl by Ferret Williams

Y hallo thar. I'm Garrett "The Ferret" Williams.

No, not the "staff member" type of ferret, the fursona type.

I'm currently populating my profile with this year's comics and art to test the site out. I'm not planning on adding yet another mirror of my comic archive, but so far I like Weasyl's submission process best of all the sites. Seriously... ONE PAGE. One page to enter all information, folks! I also like the thumbnail-maker, which technically makes it 2 submission pages, but it's a great reason for a second page. I never make thumbnails for the other sites because it's not worth the effort, but Weasyl makes it super-quick.

What I don't like, however, is how my comics are shrunk down to 800 pixels wide from their original 1024 pixel width and tall images are shrunk to 600px tall. They're still readable, but blurry. Inkbunny shrinks my comics to 900 pixels and I was annoyed by that. Weasyl doesn't even seem to have a reason to shrink comics, since there's no art or interface to the sides of the submission. So basically, no bigger than my monitor's resolution in 1995. I doubt many will click Download for the full view.

I also don't like how I can't easily tell somebody the address. Unconventional spellings are not recommended for any type of site. "Weasel with a Y instead of a second E." "Why?" "Exactly." "Huh?"

In conclusion, I like this site and so far I've been getting instant reactions to my submissions. It stands a chance of becoming a mirror site for my comics, especially for the quick submission process. Raise the submission display size and you have a winner, Weasyl!
