This year's birthday has been fantastic, thanks to all of your well wishes, and the feeling of being appreciated for who I am can be rivaled by nothing else in my world. <3 Thank you!!!!

On my birthday, I was inundated with small happy things - CHBoler gifted me a copy of FaceRig so that I can now work on that darned ferret commission more easily. As I went out to do errands with my friend, I was overjoyed to find at the store a bag of genuine Jelly Babies imported from England, famous for being a major part of the old Doctor Who series. Now I've been able to try them! I'm really fascinated by their texture more than anything - they are not like anything I've had from America for sure; the use of beef gelatin is surely a major component of it. They've really grown on me! Also, very apt for the 'baby-eating' mannerisms so endemic to the Warlord's reputation. XD

While I was out, I also treated myself to some kickass spanakopita from a specific restaurant in town - fried deliciousness in a spiral roll of spinach, feta, and phyllo dough!! YUM. I also snagged a small piece of baklava for dessert. ^^

My friends treated me to dinner, and I chose to go to an Indian restaurant called Bombay Palace, a place I've been to with other friends about 4 times now and ADORE, but wasn't sure if my other friends would really enjoy it. Turns out that they really, really did!! I think I'm even more happy that they loved the place than I was with my meal (which was superb)! I got my typical staple of palak/saag paneer and garlic naan. Such a wondrous dish. <3

But, most of all, I was treated with a gift I am thankful for over and over again - NEW GLASSES!!!! I was very happy to hear that even though almost 5 years have passed since my last eye exam, my prescription has changed very little, and what is left of the laziness in my right eye is not an issue as long as I'm alright with it - it only begins to drift when I am tired or cover up the left eye. I also got new frames, which I think fit my face rather well. But, moreover, I am very happy to have an anti-glare coating for my lenses so that computer work will be less straining : D. So yes - I CAN SEE A LITTLE BETTER!! XD

So yes, my 27th birthday has been an utter delight, and I am very very fortunate to be in the position that I am today. I wouldn't be where I am without my friends and family (both psuedo-adoptive and biological). Thank you, everybody - I love you with all of my heart!!
