TL;DR: I made a promise and need to have cash for it before it's too late and I ruin someone else's planned trip that I agreed to help with months ago under the assumption my situation would be unfucked by August. Then and only then can I resume saving to make my computer decent again.

So then, a bit of clarification on some things:

• Yes, my graphics card exploded.
• Yes, I have an older, less functional card as a temporary fix.
• Yes, I really want a new one.
• Yes, our finances could be in better shape

That being said, the reason I'm taking commissions and would really like to take more right now is because we agreed, promised to go to Rocky Mountain Fur Con with Kiyo & Tora.

They had several people agree, and bail on them, and went to us last to help pay for the trip. Kiyo's done more than his fair share of favors for us, and the two of them use conventions as a source of income selling commissions and fursuits and stuff. I feel I owe it to him for how patient he's been with my shit job situations over the years. I owe it to them to do my part and make this trip possible.

LukeSnowcat would also seriously benefit from a vacation given the stress from his job and supporting my stupid ass while I fumbled around trying to find mine.

(Side note, if you didn't know, I got a part time job recently. Woo!)

I absolutely, would not in any situation ask for money to go to a convention when I can't afford to eat or pay bills or other stupid furry shit like that.

Things are tight, but we're getting by. Between Frosty's job and my part time one, we're paying bills with just a smidge left over for saving and leisure.

Once the con is over and done with, I'm going to continue taking commissions both to fix my computer, and help with bills.
