Heat Wave by Veyll

It's been hot in the area that I live in and in my living arrangements (a house built in the 1930's) makes it hard to sleep and as a result hampers my ability to churn out images. I'm keeping at it as best I can, but until I can figure out how to deal with humid, sticky heat I'll probably be slower than normal.

Just wanted to let you guys know.

It's too hot and muggy... even for that.

well at least you don't have Dave's syndrome c:

I know that feel :/ picking up a little window air conditioner just for the bedroom worked wonders though, is that an option?

The two issues that have come up in the past are the windows that are made to open in the bedrooms only open to fit 12x24 object into the space but also the window sills are just a nightmare (uneven with strange seams and blah blah). There is also the inefficient insulation of this house. Having an AC puts my electric bill through the roof, sadly...

Ecch :/ what about a window fan? You can set them to exhaust so they blow the shitty air outside.

Those make me wonder where the 'good' air comes from. I'm pretty sure my house doesn't have a pocket dimension in it...

          • Link

It's definitely not as comfortable as having AC would be but at least having the air moving around is a small comfort.

My room is fan city right now but it;s still muggy. This place is notorious for trapping air moisture too. That might be some of the issue. Blugh.

Might think about getting a dehumidifier. You'll have to empty out the little bucket it has, but it should help at least a little.

                  I'll look into one c:

I know that feeling... Had to call in to work Saturday and Sunday cuz it was unsafe for me to drive due to heat exhaustion... Kept passing out!

Drink more water and stay cool! D:

I have been! On Saturday; I chugged a gallon jug of water one and a half times in 6 hours. ewe

It must be dreadfully hot there! I hope it cools down some soon.

Well, look on the bright side, you could be in Pakistan or India, where it's so hot the roads are melting, the power's completely out in the big cities, and thousands of people are dead.

I do think about that actually and am thankful that I am in a very different world than that which you described.
