Just wanted to give a heads up on what's going on, and a little bit into the future. I typically don't talk about my health in great detail on here, but I'm about to undergo a major change in the treatment for my depression. We've reached the point where we have tried all available medications and combinations thereof, and nothing has kept me from attempting suicide for all these years. Today I will begin weaning myself off medications for two weeks (per doctors orders) and we are going to start deep brain stimulation therapy. It is still considered an experimental treatment for major depressive disorder, but we're at the point where there aren't any other options left.

I have no idea how this is going to change my mood and energy levels, and I expect the withdrawals from my current medications will be... rough. I'm still waiting on some commissions, and I still would like to upload photographs on a semi-regular basis, but if I disappear for awhile due to health reasons I just wanted to let everyone know in advance kind of what's up.

Completely unrelated to mental health; I'm undergoing surgery this coming Monday (the 22nd), so wish me luck on that! I do have some nice blooms and nature photos backlogged, so hopefully I'll actually post some while recovering, since I can't do much else.

Thanks for sticking with me, guys and gals and everyone in between. I know we're all pretty much internet strangers, but you all are awesome and it really does make a difference in my life getting to look at your artwork and writings and hearing stories about cool stuff you did. <3
