Re-Starting an Old Project! by Threetails

Back in January 2011, I began a project called "Torchlight International," about a down-on-his-luck shift worker from an electronics store who goes to a weekend-long seminar required by his company to advance to a management position. Not in any place to turn down the pay raise, he goes for it.

Trouble is, Torchlight International is essentially a cult of personality that uses brainwashing techniques, coercive tactics, and psychology to reduce its participants to pliant, gullible shells.

It's an intense sort of story, the sort you don't normally see in furry writing, but very timely in this age of unscrupulous self-help gurus who just want to get deep into your wallet and mind and stay there.

Also, one of the characters is a very lovable but conflicted gay serval.

Re-starting this project is yet another sign that my muse is finally waking up. It seems I'm finally clawing my way back to the level of inspiration and focus I had before things took a turn for the worse.

This story cycle will be slightly shorter than a novella but slightly longer than a short story, at around 15,000-25,000 words, so it's probably going to be posted in public because publishing a story that length just isn't practical. Also, because I need to have some of my writing out where you can actually read it.

Updates will be posted simultaneously here and on FurAffinity
