Been busy, but I figure I'd better write this out. For my own reference as well!

This is the first convention I've been to a second time. Yeah, where I live, I don't get to go to a whole lot.

For starters, I flew in a day earlier than I did last year. Not only was it more time to settle down and chill with friends who were also there, but a crazy storm hit on Friday and planes were actually turned away from the airport.

Same hotel, but a different and larger floor this time. Only issue is, the main hangout/lobby area was a balcony on the second floor, which opened to the entrance level below. Not an enclosed hall they could turn the air conditioning up a bit more.
It was a little warm to fursuit for extended periods, but well there's only so much they can do.
Speaking of the new area, I seriously loved the Jurassic Park theme/setup they had.

Besides that, also nice the see the area still looks the same. From that huge swinging ride in the lot across the street to the abandoned mall, which is still abandoned.

I had my cameras out again. While I think I did a bit better at putting them down to enjoy myself more, I definitely have an addiction. XD
The variety of footage suffer somewhat due to filming less. I should probably try to film more of the events too, but I always have this worry that people out of suit don't want their faces on camera at times.

A downer was running around a bit in the rain on Thu & Fri cause my sinus to act up on Sat night. I was able to stuff myself with sinus medication, but it put me out of fursuiting action that night. Though I still managed to hang round the lobby area & film.

A great part was finally getting to do the fursuit beach walk. All the other fursuit parades I've been in, none of them ever got me as exhausted as this one. To be fair, it was kind of humid after the rain of Thu & Fri, and I probably shouldn't have been fursuiting 2 hours before the beach walk.

Best part of that? The group photo. To sum it up:
Photographers (to the gathered fursuiters): "Wave! Wave!"
Fursuiters start waving.
"No actual wave! Water! Water!"

Great to see familiar faces from last year too. I'm still pretty shy around these huge crowds, but it's definitely something being able to meet people in-person after interacting online for a while.
Not forgetting our fellow Singapore & Malaysian furs group too!

Got to take part in another Duke music video too. My third one too, due to be just being at the right conventions. Funny, when I did it the first time back at AC-2013, I was basically "Crap, I'm gonna screw up so badly."
Now I'm the one telling friends: "Don't worry, it's not too difficult!"

Much happier with my performance this time, though I still facepalm a little when I review it. I broke a footpaw sole during this one (it's actually visible in the video).
And I managed to fall off the stage at the end.
But I broke the fall with a forward roll. Then went and plant my head cutely on the judges table to make it look like it was all planned. Well, I was actually more concerned with making sure I didn't look stupid in front of the crowd, but everyone I talked to afterward didn't realize that the 'falling off the stage' wasn't actually planned.

Yay for good acting skills! =p

I always like the small con feel of FurDU, while still having all the major parts I enjoy about cons!
