I think it's handy that users are able to edit the tags on submissions. Really, I do. What bothers me is that there's no way to disable this setting, like 'Don't touch my goddamn stuff,' or that when someone does it, other than a notification that they have been changed, there's no record of who actually changed them.
If you're going to update the tags on my stuff, I don't really mind as long as you drop a comment on the submission and announce it. Otherwise, I'm going to remove the altered tags.
Edit: Oh, hey! There is a way to find that stuff. That's really convoluted. Also, how about random strangers don't touch my stuff, please?
It's not as if I even think it's a bad idea. But, yeah... I saw your comment on this individual's page as well. Here we see one of the problems with the system as it stands. 'Request alterations to tags' would be a far better possibility, or allowing friends only? I don't know, but as it stands there's a little chance to rub me the wrong way.
I've just had it happen to my gallery and such too a bit anal retentive the excuse was database space. like two or three words uses that much space. And if it does Implement a different system to sort submissions sheesh. I do not like the idea of people mucking with things I post at random unless its grossly offensive. And a reason given.
They won't fix it, weasyl is as bad as FA these days.
First they screw the site up with the new thumbnails and now the troll tagging feature, going on the thumbs and the fact they haven't even attempted to fix them means the new tagging system is here to stay.
I think the staff are going out of their way to anger people.

I see the troublesome knight has paid you a visit, too. Even if there isn't a global disable of that feature, can we please have a way to stop individuals from using/abusing it?
