I feel sorry for kids on the internet by GuzzleMuzzle

When I was much younger - always with a Commodore 64 or old PC computer around, plus in that era of much quieter, oftentimes creepy video games - I would often feel frightened of some of what I beheld. These days, well-meaning people have taken advantage of the advents in technological progression, and have made things well-beloved by young people, like older and newer 3D Pixar and Disney cartoons, among other projects meant to wow young people on however more or less of a "PC" (politically correct) basis. But as with past advents, there came, and still comes, the darker sides of things.

There's so many things on the internet that would verily frighten kids that it's staggering. Kids having to deal with school, on top of being verily attracted to what there is on the internet, which most often leads to trouble. There's something wrong when the scenes most relatable to children are led by foul mouthed people who curse often, or people who sexualize things meant to hold a timeless innocence. It's just sad, and understandably traumatizing.

I can't say too much in speaking out against the darker things of the internet being that I'm one figure who has verily contributed to it all, but in all fairness, I can express my opinions on it. Despite my qualms with censorship, there are so many things online that I don't want my nephew to see that it's terrifying.

I don't have much to say on this where the older young people who've already accepted such darker things however more or less are concerned since they're a more so mature audience going through the beginning phases of exposure, but when it comes to kids who are 12 years old and younger, I fear for what the internet's vast stores of content can do or already have done to them.

Take this from someone who was often left to himself to explore the world of however more or less creepy gaming of both PC and console platforms, like most older people who's doings obviously speak of parental neglect...
