In case you weren't already aware, I founded and help to run a convention in upstate New York. Its one of the view furry events that I attend anymore, and I would like to convince you to come as well.

The convention is called FurryCon, and we have an ongoing theme that I'm sure you've seen banners and ads for: Game of Con Chairs. Its a bit of an experimental convention, exploring a lot of new and innovative ideas. Chief among these, is the strong theme, lore, and of course... THE GAME.

The Game of Con Chairs is a convention-long event that attendees can play if they want to. However, even if they don't want to compete, they still help their house to "win" simply by being active at the convention. But a lot of players really get into it, and a friendly competition develops, with rivalries and banter. It becomes really fun (as long as the Lyonstarres don't win). its a bit like the Harry Potter houses... and the Lions are Slytherin, of course. And the competition is fierce because the winning house gets a lot of benefits, chief among them: the next honorary CON CHAIR (King!) will come from their house, complete with all the benefits of choosing merchandise selections, drinks, conbook selections, decorations, free top-tier reg and room (etc etc etc) and a lot more. The stakes are high, so the competition is fierce.

We also have probably the best dance for a small convention, several live acts and shows, and over 40 events including panels on writing, drawing, spirituality, character development, Game of Thrones, and much more. Competitions are held throughout the weekend like fursuit games, jousts (jousting horses with foam pool noodles. Lots of fun), video games, tabletop and card tournaments, trivia, dance contests, and much more.

And of course, there's the dragon in the room: its a 21+ convention. Drink tokens on Thursday, and then Friday-Sunday in the evenings, there's free unlimited frozen cocktails for all attendees (within reason of course). There will also be a wine and craft beer tasting for higher reg levels!

Why do I mention this now? BECAUSE HOUSE FOXISH NEEDS TO WIN THE GAME. Please come! Please join! Be a foxish! Cuteness is power! Last year the Taurs STOLE the throne from us (yes we built a real iron throne), and this year we mean to take it back! Help us crush the other species with our adorable IRON FISTED PAWS. And pre-reg closes on May 4! (BTW: you don't need a fox fursona to be a Foxish. So join! Please?)
