Hello indeed!
It's been a while, though it's down to my lack of calling. Life has been busy, primarily finishing my dissertation, but now I'm free of that I have that thing called free time!
However, that's not just the only reason why I'm here. Like a lot of people, I've been watching FA slowly circle the plughole. The whole IMVU debacle set up on thing - that is, now that the site was funded, how would the staff behave once they no longer had patchy funding? Well, the answer is quite emphatically, they have no clue. Filling the site with adds, and changing the layout into a weird, cluttered mess... needless to say, I feel that I don't want to support such a site, and so I'm voting with my feet. It's about time FA got a dose of reality, and realised the site, ultimately, has to be run to convenience its users.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting started here! I'm a writer by default, though I also am a photographer (always looking for tips to improve) and an amateur artist. In short, you can expect many things!

Indeed. Effectively, I'll be posting work here, and just using FA to keep an eye on artists who are not already here. Still, in terms of written submissions, the fact that it actually displays text is fantastic... and testament to how lax FA is.

Indeed, though they're now trying to throw water on the fire in order to improve it. I mean, the sidebar debacle is a wonderful example of doing precisely the wrong thing. People primarily use FA to share and view art. Reducing the scope of this by increasing adds where the art should be is idiotic. I mean, did they actually question whether it was a good move? The feedback is universally negative - they're pissing off the very people who use the site. Not smart. xD
