Why bother to talk about what is and isn't "good" in entertainment when you're desensitized to awe in the first place?

"Oh, these are badly done characters", implying you even look up from your mobile device or away from your computer screen long enough to recognize however random and wayward human emotions and human interactions as being NATURAL, you fucking robot.

We have all these year 2000s hipsters on Reddit or on some other website for snooty assholes talking about what is and isn't "good" in entertainment. Right, everything from the 90s and 80s was "low quality", sure, because some haughty website didn't give it good reviews. Never mind that we're surrounded by great productions that no one marvels at for being too spoiled and desensitized already...

I stopped taking reviews seriously when I realized that most of the time, the people reviewing things are dead inside. In most cases, the "quality" of something is dependent on what you MAKE of it. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", as the saying goes.

It's so bad that the opinions of the younger people who ARE awed at what we have today are downplayed, which is wholly unfair. For some people, the PS1, N64, and Sega Saturn or Dreamcast were their "NESes" and "Sega Genesis" and "SNESes"...

Don't bother rating things if you don't even have enough simplicity of soul to appreciate them.
