Edit: Going to post the rest of my galleries on here, since this one is missing some art
Hey guys, bad news.
My netbook's hard drive finally conked out. The thing beeps at me, and when I try to boot up the computer, it tells me it can't find the boot device. I'm pretty sure I lost all of my files aside from what was synced to Google Drive and Dropbox prior, which unfortunately, was quite a few drawings.
So I can't make art now, meaning commissions will be closed until further notice. This also means that I don't really have a way of making money at the moment, so I'm kind of freaking out about bills. Hopefully I, at the very least, find part time work somewhere.
I will still be here to check messages. I have a flash drive with Xubuntu on it and have been using that to at least access browsers and use Skype. It unfortunately doesn't have nearly the capacity to allow me to make art, and with Linux having practically no compatibility with the programs I use, there's no chance I'll be able to make anything for a while.
If you guys have any suggestions for anything regarding this situation, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it; I don't know what to do right now.
Is there a clicking whenever you try to boot from the HDD? If so that'd be a head crash and you are able to recover the data but its like... uh... I forget how much it cost my mother to get recovered but it IS possible.

Hard drives can be pretty inexpensive these days. If you can pull together a little bit of money somehow, you should be able to replace it. Not sure if you have a recovery disc for the operating system, but you could try that on the new drive, rather than purchasing a new license
