Had a nice day at the Comicon, come home to d-bag neighbors from hell. They've only been there a few months, but they're noisy. They played loud music yesterday, but stopped before 22:00 and I was like "Whatever, party on Friday." but they're at it again today and stuff in the kitchen was trembling from the bass.
Ryu and I went by at 23:00 to ask them to turn it down a little, since the noise reverberates through our house. Some woman opens the door and Ryu asks her to turn it down a little, she starts to tell him "We've never had trouble before?!" as if that means something. I tell her "It's been two days now." and the moment she notices me she gets all ghettotastic "It has not been two days! We are home owners! We have rights!"
We both responded with "Yes, so are we and so do we."
(As if it would make a difference if we rented? Is looking down on renters a thing now?)
We calmly asked her again to turn it down, she slammed the door and turned it down for like 15 minutes.
We'll call the police later if they're still at it, but I am bewildered. I can't imagine what possesses people to behave like that. At home I never turn the volume up that high and after 21:00'ish, I turn it down even further. I don't vacuum too early or too late. When we ran an air filter we turned it off at night and even if my cockatiels get a late night chirping fit, we cover the cage to quiet them down.
This type of self centered person doesn't seem to have any idea of the impression they make on people. I guess they think they're bad-ass? People aren't impressed by obnoxious twerps. If we were, Bieber would be like the coolest guy on the planet.

I live in an apartment complex and had upstairs neighbors like this. At first it was just Fridays and the Weekends so I was kinda "Whatevs" about it. But eventually it got to where they were just pumping music and having gangs of people over for parties almost every night. Called the landlord about it twice (who in turn called the police), and after the second time they either learned their lesson or moved out/were evicted. :x
