How do I change the submission on my page from recent to featured? by CombatRaccoon
This site is way too complicated ahhh.
Can someone help me with this? I want to change the submission that shows up on my profile from recent to featured. Is there any way to show two submissions, one recent and one featured?

I posted a comment below explaining how to swap it, but you can set a folder to be a featured folder, which randomly picks works in that folder to be your featured one. You can find the setting for it in here: https://www.weasyl.com/manage/folders

I went looking at that earlier myself, and it's more of a shifting folders around. This was about a featured submission. 1 file. Not a whole folder worth of works. I think what they mean is, how FurAffinity had it set up. Where you can set 1 image (such as commission info) as the main headline for your page.

Technically you could just make a folder, named it 'Featured' and set it to be your featured folder, and only keep one submission in there at a time to do that, so it wont randomize it. But yeah, users can't have both a featured image + most recent one at the same time here.

I suggest making it so we can have 1 featured submission, rather than requiring a new folder to do the same thing. Other than that, it's currently the most simple solution.

I think it'd really be beneficial. FA is undergoing an exodus due to the whole IMVU shift, and I think that familiar features could ease them into the life here.

No but really, this site is really hard to use and it's the main reason why I haven't posted here much. It took me a long time just to figure out the folders.

We know that user experience is important and we do want to improve it as much as we can. We can't make any promises, but we do listen to feedback and do want to make things easier for users however we can. Lots of bugfixes and small changes happen, so it could very likely be streamlined in the future somehow.
We also do have help documents to try and ease users into the site better (found here: https://www.weasyl.com/help), which hopefully make it less painful!

tl;dr You basically make a featured folder, instead of a featured submission. It lets you have multiple featured files (and folders).

You can set a folder to be your 'Featured' folder, which means any submission in it will be randomly featured when someone views your profile (it'll change whenever you refresh the page if the folder has multiple images in it!). You can find folder settings over here: https://www.weasyl.com/manage/folders
There isn't a way however to display both a featured submissions as well as the most recent one at the same time. Sorry!

The "featured submission" is your most recent submission. Not the submission that you want everyone else to see as your favorite. I just went looking myself, since I never considered this, and there's no way to change it. It's just going to be what you most recently uploaded. So I suppose for the time being, if you want something to appear on your front page as the big picture in the profile, then re-upload what you want to be first. Otherwise, this website is just kind of an art dump.
