One of my cats, while I was away, severely damaged one of my monitors and external hard drives by knocking it onto the floor chasing after a damn bug. I'm currently in the midst of sorting things out and seeing if I can get any data off my hard drive and/or seeing how badly it's damaged (just bad sectors now or completely inaccessible). The hard drive isn't a disaster, it's MOSTLY a backup drive. I'd like to continue having a backup drive, however. The monitor, though, IS a big deal. I'm using all my tech knowledge to determine if the cord was damaged and if so, how badly, if the power connection is just bad, or the screen backlighting is fubar'd.
I'll be back to work on commissions tomorrow. I need to do some work-equipment CPR first.
