I started streaming at 2:35 PM EDT 3/20/15, with the intention of speed running the game. As of about five minutes ago (roughly 2:20 AM EDT 3/21/15) I have officially completed the speed run.

Real time: Approximately 12 hours
Game time: Approximately 7 hours 45 minutes. Final save point before boss was at 7 hours 31 minutes, and, though i couldn't save after beating the final boss, it took about 15 minutes game time, though actually it took less than that but I'm being generous here, once I finally got a run where I didn't die,which was REALLY hard: My moves had to be timed PERFECTLY to avoid dying.

So yeah, speed run complete.

It should be noted that I don't consider this a legit speed run, as normal speed runners can do the game in about this time WITHOUT the aid of the Steam version's speed increase cheat, but I still feel accomplished for having set this goal for myself and having completed it.

At least that's ONE good thing that happened on my birthday...
